The Asian Institute of Technology Alumni Association (AITAA) is delighted to announce that the 54th AITAA Governing Board Meeting (GBM) will be held from 7–9 November 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, hosted by the AITAA Vietnam Chapter.

On November 13, 2024, the AITAA, with the kind support of the AITAA Southeast Asia Chapter, proudly signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Siam University (SU), Thailand as part of the AITAA Loyalty Program.

One such occasion took place on 13 February 2025, where the scholarship certificate was formally presented to Ms. Amekali Chishi, a Master's student from India. She is enrolled in the Food Engineering and Bioprocess Technology program at the Department of Food, Agriculture, and Natural Resources, School of Environment, Resources, and Development, and has been honored with the prestigious AIT Alumni Scholarship for the August 2024 intake.

On July 6, the AIT Alumni Association held its 3rd meeting with Chapter Presidents and Executive Committee Members during 2024. Chapter Presidents and Representatives from 17 Chapters and Headquarters joined the meeting.

AITAA Laos is gearing up for the upcoming 53rd AITAA Governing Board Meeting. On June 26-27, 2024, AITAA President Dr. Donald M. Ugsang visited Laos to collaborate with the Lao Chapter on the preparations.

Preparation Meeting for upcoming AITAA 52nd Governing Board Meeting

Election Committee is very pleased to announce that we have received two very strong nominations for the position of next AITAA president. They are Mr. Pramod Sagar Singh Pradhan (Computer Applications, 1982) from Nepal Chapter and Dr. Donald M. Ugsang (NRM, 1995 and ERM, 2000) from SEA Chapter.

AITAA and AITAA Philippine Chapter are mighty proud to congratulate Lieutenant General Romeo S. Brawner, Jr. (SOM-MBA’99) on his new post as the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP). He was accorded the Distinguished Alumni Award (DAA) for Public Service by AITAA during the 2014 Governing Board Meeting hosted by AITAA Philippine Chapter in Manila.

AITAA and AITAA Philippine Chapter proudly congratulate our 2009 AITAA Distinguished Alumni Awardee for International Affairs, Prof. Dr. Anthony Chiu (SAT-IEM 1988), for having been elected President of the International Foundation for Production Research (IFPR) at its Board Meeting on July 23, 2023, Sunday in Romania, in conjunction with the 27th International Conference of Production Research (ICPR) hosted by the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca.

We are pleased to announce the opening of nominations for the position of AITAA President for the term 2024-2025, as per Article V, Section 4 of the AIT Alumni Association Statutes. The President's term will span from 01 January 2024 to 31 December 2025.

AITAA Executive Committee Members joined the AIT Graduation Ball (May 2023) on 15 May 2023.

The 1st dialogue session of AITAA Regional Collaboration (NZ, Singapore and the Philippines) was held yesterday, 7th May 2023. This was hosted by the NZ Chapter.

It is with a heavy heart that we mourn the loss of Dr. Verapong Chaiperm, the former Governor of the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand and a devoted alumnus of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), who passed away on 14th April 2023. Dr. Verapong's dedication and contributions to AIT and the wider community will always be remembered.

There was AIT Career Fair & Student Union Research Exhibition on 29 March 2023 from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. in the AIT Conference Center.

AITAA Thailand Chapter organized "AIT Homecoming" Event at AIT on 11 March 2023.

On 24 January 2023. AITAA President Mr. Taweechai Termkunanon, AITAA Executive Secretary Dr. Worawej Onnom and AITAA Thailand Chapter Officers; Dr. Jiraporn Sirikum, President; Mrs. Suchada Sukapanth, Secretary; Mrs. Phetcharinthorn Aroonrat, Treasurer made a courtesy call to Gen. Boonsrang Niampradit, (Retired) Senator, National Defence College Think Tank Foundation Chairman, Peace Network Foundation Chairman, and former AITAA President for New Year's Greetings.

The main topics for the meeting were activities in the engagement of AIT Alumni and visions for engaging AIT Alumni for a sustainable AIT.
