In his talk, Dr. Rehan explored how conservation priorities are often influenced by emotions and cultural values, leading to a focus oncharismatic species while neglecting those that are less appealing but equally vital for sustaining healthy ecosystems. His insights shed light on the importance of addressing hidden biases to ensure more inclusive and effective biodiversity conservation strategies.
Dr. Rehan currently serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Wildlife & Ecology at the University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Pakistan.
