Who We Are

The Asian Institute of Technology Alumni Association (AITAA) was formed in 1969 to develop mutual understanding among the alumni, and between them and the Institute.

1970 – First official Chapters formed: Thailand, Republic of China, Pakistan, and the Philippines.

Over the decades, AITAA expanded into a global network of 28 National and Regional Chapters.

By 2021, the association had grown to include 25,000+ alumni across 101 countries and territories.

In 2019, during the 48th Governing Board Meeting in Bangkok (coinciding with AIT’s 60th Anniversary), the revised AITAA Statutes and Chapter Governance Guidelines were ratified to strengthen governance and collaboration.
