
CRITERIA AND GUIDELINES OF AITAA LIFETIME SERVICE AWARDS (ALSA)

An AIT alumnus, alumnae, a group of alumni are eligible to nominate any AITAA member for this prestigious Award.

The National Chapter to which the nominee belongs shall officially endorse the chapter’s nominees for the various award category to the AITAA HQRecognition Committee. The National Chapter has to be in good standing as certified by theAITAA- HQ to be eligible to endorse nominees.

Each nominee must be an AIT graduate with at least ten (10) years of lifetime practice, who have demonstrated outstanding professional and technical achievements with high standard of integrity, has rendered distinguished service to the profession or to the society-at-large, and has contributed in a significant way to mission-vision of AIT/AITAA HQ. The nominee must have also active engagements and/or contribution to the growth of AITAA Chapter to which the nominee belongs.

The nominee must not be the current National Chapter or Sub-Chapter President or any Executive Committee Member of its chapter or of the AITAA-HQ.

The nominee must be a living individual and must be a member of AITAA.

One Chapter may nominate more than 1, as long as he/she gets a minimum of 50 points.
The AITAA Lifetime Service Award (ALSA):
This will be given to an alumni who have consistently devoted his/her talent, time, effort, and other resources, on a voluntary manner, to help the Chapter/Sub-Chapter accomplish its goals and objectives such as serving in the Board, extending valuable assistance to the AITAA HQ in any manner of significance, as well as presence in some of the AITAA Annual GBMs. Posthumous nomination is accepted and nomination through the Chapter/Sub-Chapter.
Only one (1) recipient will be awarded each year.
Criteria for ALSA
Professional accomplishment (minimum of 25)

1 point for every year of active professional-related job

Add 10 points, if served a position with a minimum of Director in government, or minimum of Department Manager in a private company, Dean of the department at university
Engagement with AITAA (minimum of 15)

1 point for every year of active engagement with AITAA activities (i.e., Execom member or chair of committee/s or project/s)

Add 5 points, if served as former elected officer of AITAA (i.e., regardless of length of service)
Professional awards and/or recognition (minimum of 10)

1 point for every local award
-
2 points for every national award
-
3 points for every international award
Minimum of 50 points qualify for selection by the Awards Committee
