We are thrilled to announce Mr. Gem Tshering's appointment as Minister of the Energy and Natural Resources Ministry, Royal Government of Bhutan. Mr. Gem Tshering, a proud graduate of AIT in 1994, brings his exceptional leadership and expertise to this significant role.
Not only is Mr. Gem Tshering serving his country with distinction, but he also serves as the esteemed chapter president of our AITAA Bhutan Chapter. His dedication to excellence and commitment to fostering connections within our AIT community are truly commendable.
Move Forward AIT: 52nd AITAA Governing Board Meeting (GBM) Highlights
The 52nd AITAA Governing Board Meeting, hosted by the AITAA South East Asia Chapter, took place successfully at the AIT campus from November 24 to 26, 2023. This year's GBM theme, 'Move Forward AIT,' came to life through the collective engagement and enthusiasm of our alumni.

- Campus Reunion and Walking Tour (Nov 24): The alumni gathered for a memorable reunion at their alma mater, culminating in a walking tour of the AIT campus.

We held a meeting this morning at the AITAA Headquarters to discuss the preparations for our upcoming 52nd Governing Board Meeting (GBM). The meeting included attendees: Mr. Taweechai Termkunanon (AITAA President), Dr. Duminda Jaya Ranjan (President of AITAA Southeast Asia Chapter), Dr. Donald Ugsang (Finance Officer), Ms. Janette Ugsang (Membership Committee Officer), and Mr. Win Myint Thein (Program Officer).

I am pleased that two distinguished alumni accepted to be the election officer. They are Susanto Halim from Singapore and Mei-Yen, Chung (Joanne) from Taiwan.
Election Committee is very pleased to announce that we have received two very strong nominations for the position of next AITAA president. They are Mr. Pramod Sagar Singh Pradhan (Computer Applications, 1982) from Nepal Chapter and Dr. Donald M. Ugsang (NRM, 1995 and ERM, 2000) from SEA Chapter. Election Committee accepted these as valid nominations. Nominations can be viewed, as per Election By-Law 3, here.
